Omnitrope 15mg / 45IU is a solution for injection. Each ml of solution contains 10 mg of somatropin (corresponding to 30 IU), One cartridge contains 1.5 ml corresponding to 15 mg somatropin (45 IU).
 
Omnitrop is the trade name of growth hormone Somatropin pharmaceutical company Sandoz, manufactured in Austria. It contains 45 units with high purity and quality in a vial of 15mg.
 
It is used for Growth disturbance due to insufficient secretion of growth hormone (growth hormone deficiency, GHD) in infants, children and adolescents. It is also used for the replacement therapy in adults with pronounced growth hormone deficiency.
 
Omnitrope may reduce insulin sensitivity. For patients with diabetes mellitus, the insulin dose may require adjustment after omnitrope therapy is instituted. Patients with diabetes, glucose intolerance, or additional risk factors for diabetes should be monitored closely during omnitrope therapy.
 
Synthetically derived (recombinant) GH is approved for the treatment of specific clinical conditions causing short stature and other complications related to lifelong GHD such as Prader-Willi syndrome, short stature caused by chronic renal insufficiency, Turner syndrome, idiopathic short stature and intrauterine growth retardation.
