Is it Possible to Achieve Naturally High Steroid Levels without Injecting?
Steroids first burst onto the athletic arena in the 1940s, when testosterone was first synthesised and manufactured for use in the medical field. Reports of steroid use among Russian bodybuilders was observed in the 1950s, and by the 1960s steroids had made their way to the Western coast of the USA. Since then, steroids have become ubiquitous with bodybuilding throughout the world and the sight of a steroid-enhanced body is now uniquely celebrated in certain cultures.
Steroids have certainly had a massive impact upon the way that we think about and approach bodybuilding. However, many people have been left wondering if it’s possible to replicate the effects of steroid use – increased testosterone and muscle mass – without using steroids.
The simplest answer to this question is: no. It is not possible to achieve the high levels of testosterone and muscle mass that injectable steroids produce, without actually using steroids. Injectable steroids are particularly affective in this respect because the steroids they deliver function as an androgen, providing more visible gains and resulting in increased testosterone-related side effects, such as aggression. Injectable steroids work so well at delivering testosterone into the body that there simply isn’t any other method – natural or otherwise – that has come close to matching it in terms of effectiveness. The proof of this is all around us: if it were possible, it would be virtually impossible to distinguish between natural bodybuilders and bodybuilders who use steroids.
In fact, this common sense observation is supported by a study conducted in 1996 by a group of scientists who wanted to measure the effects of testosterone on the muscle strength and size of men. In short – they wanted to be able to have scientific proof for the effectiveness of steroids. The results were all-too-telling; the group of men who took steroids but didn’t engage in physical activity far surpassed the group of men who exercised without steroids, in terms of both size and strength.
Simply put, if you want to achieve the size and strength displayed by bodybuilders who use injectable steroids, then you will also need to consider using injectable steroids. There is nothing that you can do in terms of diet, exercise or other, which will result in your having a similar type of body. But this isn’t to say that proper steroid use should not go hand-in-hand with proper diet and exercise. In fact, eating well and working out will help to ensure that your steroid use remains sensible, and that when you stop using steroids you won’t experience some of the awful side effects that other bodybuilders do. As always, know your own body, be mindful of your limits, and stay safe.
